The multi-award winning Lynton & Lynmouth funicular Cliff Railway opened in 1890 and is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world! Connecting the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, providing coastal views that will be the highlight of any visit. Perched on the cliff top (at 500ft above the lower station) you’ll find the Cliff Top Café – perfect for a spot of cream tea overlooking the iconic Devonshire skyline.
